Why we created Life and Memories
A simpler way to create
something deeply personal.
When our own family needed to create a tribute video, we discovered just how difficult the process could be.
At an already emotional time, we spent hours learning unfamiliar software, organising photographs, editing music and trying to make everything work together. We stumbled through the process, knowing there had to be a simpler and more supportive way.
Life and Memories was created from that experience—to help families create a beautiful, personal tribute without needing editing experience or spending precious hours learning complicated tools.

Families do not always remember in just one language. Life & Memories lets you write names, captions and stories in the languages that belong to your family—and use more than one language in the same tribute.
Currently supported languages include English, te reo Māori, Samoan, Tongan, Hindi, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Punjabi (Gurmukhi) and Korean. You can use more than one of these languages in the same tribute.

Life and Memories is designed for a beautiful photograph-led tribute. Choose Life and Memories Plus when you need more photographs, personal video clips, story chapters or a second piece of music.
Which languages can I use?
You can use English, te reo Māori, Samoan, Tongan, Hindi, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Punjabi (Gurmukhi) and Korean—and mix supported languages in the same tribute. Life & Memories keeps your words as entered, so please check spelling and meaning before approving the video. To request another language, please contact us at info@lifeandmemories.co.nz.
Can family and friends contribute?
The purchaser manages the tribute in one private creation space. Family and friends can send their photographs and stories to the purchaser to add; direct contributor access is not currently included.
What music can we use?
You can choose from the full Life & Memories curated library or upload a personal track you have permission to use. Life and Memories includes one soundtrack; Life and Memories Plus includes up to two.
Is our project private?
Your tribute creation space and uploaded memories are private. The finished video is provided through a private link that works for 30 days; only share it with people you trust.
What file types and upload sizes are supported?
At launch, photographs can be uploaded as JPEG or PNG files up to 20 MB each. Life and Memories Plus also accepts MP4 and MOV video clips up to 250 MB each. The total upload allowance is 800 MB for Life and Memories and 3 GB for Life and Memories Plus.
What happens immediately after purchase?
Visit your private creation space using the link in your order confirmation, then enter the email address used for your order to receive a secure, single-use sign-in code.
What if I change my mind?
Please contact us as soon as possible. If personalised production has not begun, we can cancel your order and arrange a refund. Once work on your tribute has started, any refund will depend on how much work has already been completed. This policy does not affect your rights under applicable consumer law.
Can I upgrade to Life and Memories Plus after purchasing?
Yes. Contact us before your tribute is finalised and we will help you upgrade. You will only need to pay the difference between Life and Memories and Life and Memories Plus, after which the additional Plus features will become available in your project.
